Why do men seem to be so distant all of a sudden?

I decided to become temporarily celibate because of an abusive relationship. I really just dont want to be intimate with a guy that i feel is going to hurt me like that again. It has been really tough and deciding not to have sex until i feel ready again has seemed to be a good idea for the past 2 years. But i've noticed that less guys seem to be attracted to me now...I was in a short relationship that ended because i wouldn't "put out" and less guys seem to be interested in general. Do guys really not wanna be with me because sex isn't really an option right now?
